COMMITTEES
Our Committees are annually selected sub-groups within our Executive Board. General Members interested in gaining leadership experience and an inside look at how ALPFA RU NB internally operates are encouraged to apply. Committee members also gain special consideration when applying for our Executive Board in the Spring.
IMPACT Committee
Led by our Director of Community Service, Elenny Herrera, and our Director of Fundraising, Amber Sanchez, the IMPACT committee focuses on creating meaningful opportunities for members to give back to their communities while developing their leadership skills. The ALPFA RU-NB Chapter’s Impact Committee is dedicated to driving positive change through community engagement and fundraising initiatives. Through volunteer projects, charitable events, and strategic partnerships, the committee fosters a culture of service. Additionally, the fundraising efforts are designed to reinvest in the chapter, supporting its activities, growth, and long-term sustainability, ensuring members can continue benefiting from ALPFA’s mission.
finance committee
Led by our Treasurer, Lisbeth Hernandez, the Finance committee, interested members gain exposure to the monetary processes behind our organization, the handling of the organization's finances and the brainstorming behind the fundraising process and events. They also gain access to other organizational structures within RBS such as the Rutgers Business Governing Association (RBGA). Students comfortable with quantitative material and interested in corporate finance, asset management, and or corporate management are encouraged to apply.
Marketing & Events Committee
Led by our Director of Marketing, Eshmal Rizwan and our Director of Events, Jenifer Ramirez, this committee is behind all of our creative ideas towards communicating information with our members. It allows members to see, understand, and create new engagement and retention opportunities for our members. Interested members generate ideas, flyers, and communication strategies to not only track our growing member base but attract new members all across campus. Members also get an inside look at the creative process behind our club image. Students comfortable with exploring the art of design, creative workshopping, modern technology, and communication are encouraged to apply.
professional development committee
Led by Mark our Director of Professional Development, Karen Tantalean and our Director of Membership, William Sanchez, the Professional Development Committee is our newest sub-group and caters to all of our company events for the school year. This committee tracks all company communication and assures that ALPFA is constantly bringing relevant, important, and impactful companies to our member base. Here, students get an exclusive opportunity to communicate with recruiters, plan and execute company events, and statistically understand our member base in order to provide our members with companies tailored to their professional and personal aspirations.
Information Technology Committee
Led by our Director of Information Technology, Alex Pace and, our Secretary, Arianna Collado, the Information Technology committee focuses on the management and maintenance of the chapter website, as well as the GetInvolved site. The IT committee would cultivate and assist with implementing and executing technical workshops such as learning Excel, Python, or any other technical skills. Another key factor of the IT committee is understanding the importance of digital footprint and online branding of the chapter.
